Rotonda is an unincorporated community of Charlotte County, located west of Charlotte Harbor, along the Gulf Coast. The Rotonda area lies on the Cape Haze Peninsula, which is about halfway between Sarasota and Naples, along the Gulf of Mexico. It a small quaint community, with Port Charlotte just a few miles up the road. Here you will find excellent fishing and boating on Lemon Bay and the Myakka River. Hiking, biking, kayaking and strolls through the area’s many parks are all popular activities. Golfers will love the famous Rotonda championship golf courses. With seven in the immediate area, residents can tee off at a different course every day of the week. The weather here is rather moderate, even during the summer, the ocean breezes help to keep things cooler than other parts of the state.
